Latibær (Lazy Town) är en av Islands största tv-succéer. Barnprogrammet har visats i över 100 länder och översatts till mängder av olika språk. Det har dessutom belönats med mängder av priser.
Men nu har framgångssagan fått ett abrupt slut. Landover Baptist Church har nämligen avslöjat att bakom barnprogrammen döljer sig propaganda för homosexualitet, pedofili, våldtäkter och - naturligtvis - lathet. Diskussionstråden Lazytown, pedophilia sex show svämmar över av klarsynta tankar om serien.
Så här låter det när Jeb Thurmond, som följer mottot Didn't write the Bible, just obeys it, analyserar serien:
"Lazytown is Icelandic propaganda. Iceland was founded by vikings who made their living raping and pillaging Christian monasteries, and today they have returned to that tradition, using a modern weapon - the liberal media.
Ancient viking texts prove that viking settlers chose the volcanic island of Iceland because it was the place on earth that has the closest resemblence to hell, home of their lord. Iceland is also the top persecutor of American oil companies, because of their focus on 'geothermal energy' - a polite way of saying they get their energy from pipes they drilled down to HELL.
God has punished Iceland by causing their financial services industry to collapse. It is only a preview of the punishments the LORD has in store."
Eliot Mayfield avslöjar syftet med Latibær:
"Lazytown is a 'children's' show designed to teach young girls it's OK to dance and prance around half naked with grown men. It teaches children to 'get out' that is obviously a homosexual reference. The horror of this show is beyond belief."
True Disciple maler vidare:
"Landover Baptist kids are the most sportsmanlikle of all American kids, as they go on a healthy Bible Gun Camp every year, where the boys learn to do manly things and the girls are prepared to be a Good True Christian™ Housewife, who doesn't drain the finances of her Godly husband by eating excessively much. ... I'm not really interested in Satan (or Loki)'s opinion on the raising of kids, to be frank."
Och så fortsätter det. James Hutchins skriver:
"We do not believe in 'medications'. We believe in hard work and living cleanly. We do not believe in pedophilia like the eskimos of Iceland."
Förr eller senare sväljer förstås någon betet - PerlaD tycks ha gjort det:
"By the looks of it, you got the word 'Ignorant' tattooed on your forehead. I don´t expect you to know the 10 commandments, but i believe one of them sounds like this: 'Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor'."
Hur är det då med Landover Baptist Church? Den grundades 1993 och har sin bas i Freehold i amerikanska Iowa. Kyrkan har 28 präster, 412 heltidsanställda, tolv tv-studior, två radiostationer, ett universitet och en amfiteater med plats för 100 000 åskådare. Ingen av dem finns dock på riktigt. Parodikyrkan startades nämligen av Chris Harper sedan han slängts ut från Liberty University, grundat av tv-prästen Jerry Falwell och kanske inte fullt så fritt som namnet antyder.
