
"Kitted out in helmets, overalls, balaclavas and two layers of gloves, we had a quick lesson on how to negotiate the glacier, before setting off into the sunset. A long, cold but invigorating ride up and across the ice brought us closer to our target, until we climbed over the final ridge to be met with an awe-inspiring view of the orange sun on the horizon, alongside the bright red volcanic crater."
